Kate Vereker

Kate Vereker is a British ceramic artist based in Amsterdam and working from her studio at Art Centre Aalsmeer. Her artistic practice is grounded in a strong educational background, having graduated from Central Saint Martins in London, one of the UK’s most renowned institutions for art and design. At the heart of her ceramics is a commitment to deliver work that reflects her passion for materials and color. Each piece is crafted meticulously to appeal to those who appreciate products with a story, that utilize natural materials, and are created through a hand made process that emphasizes quality over mass production.

Kate is driven by a love of the making process and by an ongoing curiosity about the possibilities of clay, colour and glaze. She designs and hand-builds each piece herself, while also developing her own glazes. This creates work in which form, material and colour come together in a personal and intuitive way.
